Here’s the original recipe to make a classic sea moss lemonade from scratch. If you lack time, you can also use store-bought lemonade and add the sea moss gel.


Ingredients (one pitcher; add gel per portion):

  • 1 cup water (first step)
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ¾ cup sugar (or natural sweeteners)
  • 5 cups cold water (second step)
  • Zest from one lemon (optional)
  • 2 tbsp Organics Nature’s Mango Pineapple Sea Moss Gel per serving (or plain homemade sea moss gel, following its serving directions)

Recipe:

  1. Squeeze the juice of 4 to 6 lemons to fill a cup.
  2. Put the sugar and one cup of water in a saucepan over low/medium heat.
  3. Stir well until the sugar dissolves completely, then remove the syrup from the heat.
  4. Pour the syrup into a pitcher and add the fresh lemon juice.
  5. Let the lemonade base cool, then add the 5 cups of cold water listed above to dilute the pitcher.
  6. Stir or blend 2 tablespoons of gel into each portion. Mango Pineapple Gel adds a lovely tropical twist!
  7. Adjust to taste by adding more water, lemon juice, or sugar.
  8. Refrigerate for 30 minutes and serve chilled with ice and sliced lemons.

Optional: for an intense lemon flavor, you can grate the zest from one lemon and add it to the saucepan so it infuses in the sugar/water mixture. Remember to remove it before serving!

Ingredients (3 servings):

  • 5 cups water
